The
Carraway-Davie House was built in 1972 for Dr. & Mrs.
Clayton Davie |
-
The home had 11,000 sq. ft., 7 bedrooms, 8
baths, and 18 living areas.
-
Pillars across the front of the home are from
the old Talladega Hospital & glass work around the
door is from the Terminal Station. Other
appointments came from the Temple Theater and the
old Tutwiller Hotel.
-
A chandelier in the home was from the old
Birmingham Terminal Station and weighed 4,000 lbs.
-
During the Patron's Party, the plumbing stopped
up - flooding the basement, and became the shortest
Patron's Party ever!
