The Caceres Home was built in 1936 for Dr. & Mrs. Harry Lee Jackson.
  • This was the first house in Birmingham city limits, designed by Charles H. McCauley
  • Because of a limited yard area, the swimming pool was drained, framed and floored with artificial grass for the Patron’s Party
  • For Opening Day, the pool was to be refilled and the Chairmen stayed up with the Fire Department until 2:00am only to discover that hydrant water is not very clean and the pool was not very presentable
